Jeff Mathis
Jeff Mathis joins TCG as a partner. Jeff attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a BA in interdisciplinary studies. After graduating from law school at UNC-Chapel Hill and proceeding to practice law in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas, for several years, Jeff started his real estate career with the Charlotte office of Trammell Crow Company. He worked with Trammell Crow and its successor, Childress Klein Properties, for seven years as a marketing principal. Following his time at Childress Klein Properties, he headed up the Charlotte office of Carter & Associates of Atlanta, specializing in brokerage and complex leasing transactions.
In 1994 Jeff and two colleagues at Childress Klein Properties formed Tribek Properties where the firm specialized in single tenant retail and multi-tenanted shopping center developments in the Carolinas and Virginia. While there, Jeff was a partner in the development of over 55 projects, including developments for Lowes, Harris Teeter, Wal-Mart Stores, CVS, Home Depot, Walgreens and other national and regional retailers. Among his development efforts were The Shoppes at Morrison Plantation (Mooresville, NC), the Hampton Point Shopping Center (Hillsborough, N.C.), and The Shoppes at Burlington Place (Burlington, N.C.). Jeff continued to develop retail projects while founding and heading up his own firm, Crossroads Realty Group.
At TCG, Jeff’s practice area includes rezoning, development, leasing and management operations for retail and office projects. While residing in Charlotte, he has been a member of the boards of several local nonprofit organizations and is a member of First Presbyterian Church.
